I tune into the DEI lunch and learn talks and take notes on who never to take seriously in the workplace ever again.

I find no offense in what you said.
The takeaway is this: Open your eyes, believe in yourself, do good things and prepare for what is coming. It doesn't take a prophet to see what has happened, what is happening and draw a conclusion that things are about to get very dark. Everyone you know senses it. I believe this is why so many are acting out, driving crazy, being rude. They know something is coming but they don't know what to do. You know what to do. Pay your debts. Save what you can. Learn new skills. Get your work wardrobe and resume ready. Enjoy the good times because those good times are in the present. Don't look back later and wish you didn't take things for granted or that you were better prepared.

I have grandparents that were European immigrants during the great depression. Their families couldn't find work. Things were desperate. I grew up hearing their stories. They got through the depression and then WWII started. Brothers drafted. Sisters worked in machine shops. Some didn't make it back home. They really were the greatest generation for having gone through it. I never believed for a minute that I would ever experience anything like that but seeing where things are going now, I'm convinced that we all will.

GM eventually will be announcing its so called dropping/rollback of DEI.

They will give DEI the funeral it deserves.

I wouldn’t be surprised, before the end of this month, Gm starts cutting its DEI department.

That would save a lot of jobs that actually contribute to GM’s bottom line and free up more time for productivity needs.

The cancer is in the head, and the body is riddled with it.
It's all 100% lip service to say it's gone. At GM we navigate through it.
Most corporations have this problem and it's been going on since at least the 90's.
The only thing that can eradicate the cancer cells is a deep, dark financial collapse. This is coming and this is what this reply is about.

No corporation will have the financial resources to fund the cancer. They will need to hire only the most qualified, skilled, hard working people despite their race, gender, ideology. The way it should be. Anyone who argues against this will be visible and it won't be tolerated by anyone due to the sheer desperation to survive.

The financial collapse has been put at bay with cooking books and other shenanigans. The longer this went on, the more intense the collapse would be. We are all about to find out. Many of your friends, relatives and retirees in your life will lose everything. Anyone who hasn't been preparing for it will be suspect to ruin. That especially includes those deeply in debt, dependent on one or more 6 figure incomes to keep the finger in the dam. Where will the work to earn that kind of income when the mass firings start? And all of the 'fallback' jobs are gone due to retail store closures, AI, etc. People will experience things they've only read about from the past. One need only to look to 2008 to get a glimpse of it. And to those who say, "you keep saying that" I will say this: IT HAS ALREADY STARTED. Drive by a food line, the unemployment line or stand by your local grocer's checkout and you will see and hear things. Talk to the pastor of your church. If you haven't opened your eyes, you will stay ignorant until it reaches your doorstep.

It's going to be much worse than the great depression and the orange guy won't be able to save us. He will be blamed but we all know what happened in the last 4 years. Everyone knows, even if they deny it.

In the meantime, Reddit, Linkedin and other sites are filled with GM employees who were let go in the last year who are desperate. No interviews. No prospects. Once in a while you will see those boasting of, "getting let go of GM was the greatest thing that ever happened to me, I'm doing great!" but believe me, they are either trolls or they are lying. If you do manage to get a job in this environment, your workload, your stress level, you driving distance, and your pay will be far less desirable. That's not to mention that most companies are over hybrid attendance. Good luck. Pray to God. Get prepared. Its coming faster than you think!

Anti-DEI on main Street, 100% DEI with balloons and parades in practice.
GM is now DEI on the downlow.
