If Trump and Musk want more H1B visa employees than that’s fine with me. I think they known better than anyone if it’s good to have them or not.

Musk even said that these people are more skilled and get paid less.

: @r4+1jgmfn4bm Bud, get your id--t head out of your a-s. Indians are a minority at Ford and in the US. Even if they were a majority, nothing can defend what the other poster was referring to. Ford is full of mo--ns who like to show off their superior language skills compared to immigrants but technically are bankrupt, so they stick around at Ford - just pay attention to the loudest mouths in any meeting.

There is a reason why F stock is at the same price it was in 2000. It is not because of brown folks I tell you 🤣

“If you see a manager viscously bullying an H-1B, it's your responsibility as a US citizen (or permanent resident) to remind that manager it's very unfair to pick on someone from a marginalized immigration status.”

Unless you’re talking about European immigrants, you’re playing pretend and I’m tired of it to my very bones.

Marginalized? Are you referring to Indians? How in the heck are they marginalized? We - US Citizens - are being marginalized in our own country.

Marginalized immigration status? How could Indians be marginalized when they are the biggest group of overseas immigrants in the country (maybe the western world) AND (as they love to remind us) make more money than any other ethnic group in the US.

There are 1.4B Indians. They are NOT a minority in any sense of the word. You want a global market? Then stop BSing about Indians being a minority or marginalized people or a “POC”. FFS, give me a break. As if anyone but those with white skinned deserve some special handling. We’re done with that.

If you see a manager viscously bullying an H-1B, it's your responsibility as a US citizen (or permanent resident) to remind that manager it's very unfair to pick on someone from a marginalized immigration status, and you should send that manager a link to the "be best" anti-bullying best practices located below:

There are not enough jobs in USA now with all the outsourcing to LCCs....so you have H1B influx, TN Visa from Mexico and Canada.... So if you are an american citizen, only way you will get a job is if you accept them wages. It is a good situation for corporations but bad for individuals. It is a fked up situation any way you look it for both workers...

H1B Visa is a distraction. Focus on your assignments to improve Q and reduce Warranty $. That's it, do not engage in unproductive conversations where trolls try to get your blood pressure to go to the roof.
There are so many TROLLS in this blog.

As a non H1B you must, must stand for quality. You cannot be deported for standing up if you have a poor manager, supervisor or director. You have a responsibility.
If you see an H1B being bullied by the occasional clueless, abusive supervisor, manager or director. Try to help.. for the sake of another human being being put in a bad spot by the lousy H1B scam system. They are victims too.

H1B's have been a scam since Bush Senior signed into law.

CEO's (Ford) know this is corrupt as outsorce jobs and employ as many H1B's as possible.

H1B's get your bags ready.

An H1B is that they will not “talk back to boss” if they have concerns/disagreements about quality, etc.. They will take the blame.
If an issue turns into a recall and costs the company money, H1b can always move to another company and practice the forced subservience there …

You would too if you could get deported by not pleasing your boss.. so others who are not in this awkward position must take that responsibility. Others who are in dwindling numbers..

Average base is $115k!!?? So they're not cheap imported labor..?
H1B salary laws go way far back past Trump. Given the job title, qualifications required, industry and geographical area, jobs have a minimum wage requirements. I believe Dept of Labor decides that. Employers have to prove that the candidate is not cheap alternative labor and that they couldn't find a qualified citizen. That's why you see some ghost job postings online with no intention of ever filling it.
How do I know this? I was on H1B about a decade ago too. If any laws have changed in the last 8 years, then I would not be aware of them.
H1Bs are not scam, but there is a lot of scam happening abusing the loopholes. That makes everyone of us look bad. How would you feel if we treat all Americans as re--rds just because the libtards can't tell a man from a woman?

Its makes no sense to belittle H1B worker. They applied and got the job, they also have family to feed like ordinary Americans.

Corporations should be targeted instead if they are playing bad games with Americans.

Currently all you see online is Americans targeting/shaming/doing racism on so call H1Bs. All I see is corporations having a big laugh!!

This data only shows how many H1B applications Ford submitted, not how many people with H1B visas work at Ford currently, either as direct employees or as someone commented, indirectly through agencies.

This is only the ones Ford directly brought in. Most of Ford’s H1B hiring is done through intermediaries like Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Wipro and others that specialize in this very thing. This way Ford can avoid looking like it’s insourcing 1000s of foreign workers while getting cheaper, expendable labor.

@d9+1jgmfn4bm that is why there should be a premium for placing H1B visa holders. For example, if the base pay for an EE is 100K, then the company wanting the H1B visa holder should have to pay a base pay of 130K (30% premium) to employ the H1B holder. This way, the company is really showing that US natives are not available.

Amazon filed over 9,000 H-1B applications and Google filed more than 5,000 in 2024. In comparison, 800+ filings by Ford is relatively modest.

The higher pay associated with H-1B workers reflects their status as highly skilled foreign professionals whom the U.S. aims to retain.

The only debatable aspect is whether these visas are being abused —for example, employing foreign workers with the same or lower skill levels than U.S. workers, potentially displacing domestic talent.

Ford outsources a lot of jobs to H1b farms like tcs, hcl and Infosys. These companies are the biggest leechers of American jobs and middle class

The agencies, such as Tata Consulting, take advantage of the H-1B as well. They are also among some of the biggest trickster companies.

H1B work visa and other work and student visa is a big SCAM. These visa's are suppose to be for temporary work for 3 years for specific skilled workers that can not be found in USA. However, corporations reapply for another 3 years extending if for 6 years. Within the 6 years, they help apply for a green card for the h1b worker. While the h1b worker is waiting for the green card, the company can re-apply every 1 year indefinitely. This means the TEMPORARY work visa, indirect became a permanent work visa until the second out of three phases/stages of the green card process. The company can layoff the H1B person, but they are less likely since they have paid application and lawyer fees for the h1b employee. Therefore, they rather keep the H1B person and let them take on more responsibilities of the laid-off American worker. It's a huge scam to help corporate america keep American's from gaining the needed skills and paying the h1b what may look like a higher salary to replace 1 h1b worker for two or three American workers. One H1B worker may cost the company $150K, but three America workers would cost the company 3*$120K=$360K. More then twice the amount what it costs to pay 1 h1b worker. The USA gov't, American Corporations, and the rich are all in this scam together. It's called power, greed, and money. This is what makes America so great again and again and again! Rich get richer, and poor get poorer.
Therefore, don't get mad or prejudice at the H1B worker (he's working 3 people's jobs all hours of the day and weekends), but either become the President of USA, or become a Billionaire. Then perhaps, you get to change the rules of the game or you too will want to join in on the game since you have also got used to the greed, power, and money at that point.

Many of H1bs move jobs for hire pay, especially to Tesla, Rivian or Lucid where they can easily double their pay. Ask any H1B, most of them would be having 2-3 yrs of exp at Ford.
