Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Is anyone else experiencing brain fog or confusion?

I'm not sure if this is just lack of a vacation, or burnout, or something else, but I find myself more easily confused over things that used to be so simple. I've missed a few deadlines, nothing major, just LMS requirements. I totally blanked on the fact that I had compliance training, which is something I am usually on top of. To make matters worse, I was not aware of it until my TL mentioned it in my mid-year pmp meeting. Embarrassing. A few of my co-workers have mentioned that they feel it's peak allergy season and they're hopped up on anti-histamines. My wife suggested that it could be vaccine-related, but if that was the case, I would have encountered this months ago, right? No idea, but with Q4 coming up I can't continue to operate in a fog.

It’s not a vaccine side effect but could be a pandemic side effect. Search for “pandemic brain fog” and you’ll find multiple articles about it. Living in a heightened sense of stress and worry and uncertainty for over a year can take a toll on our bodies and our minds. It’s a real thing and just takes time to get over.

@gvh+1c9qxXgI and all the others moaning about such topics being on this site,

Where else can we post things about our experience at Chevron that we'd like to talk about? Please point me to another Chevron discussion site that is not layoff related. Better yet, maybe the site owners should change the mission of the site, or create a new site that contains company specific, non-layoff discussions.

Probably from just being worn out after the big layoff and everything else the company has put their employees through. Its been terrible to work for Chevron as of late.

I get brain fog gridlock after the first sentence by the same mor0n who think he can lecture an anoynymous posting site on his view of what is an appropriate topic. LMAO. All these layoff sites are full of posts discussing company culture… get over it! It has been six months since the layoff!

This is supposed to be a layoff site and not an anti vax site. You stupid and politically brainwashed people want to impose your darkness on our society and its best you you go back to your distressed and paranoid lives and leave people who want to live happily in the sun with positivity, spirituality and passion for life alone. The world wants to move forward not backwards and you should consider a more enlightened path. You, and we, would all be happier if you stay in your dark holes and converse with each other while we live our lives with optimism. Your sad conspiracy views add nothing to the positive advancement of the human condition or Chevron. Bye Bye

I find myself suffering from extensive brain fog whenever I sit in a meeting that goes longer than 13 minutes. Usually around minute 13 and .02 seconds my eyes glaze and my head starts to nod ever so slightly.

It’s apparent you’ve been deeply impacted. Look, you’ve posted this on a lay-off site!

Yes - that is a side effect of the vaccine but hopefully, a temporary one. But it could also just be you are getting old.

This is a well documented vax side effect.
Maybe should have waited instead of letting covidiots peer pressure you?

Maybe theyll develop a vax for the vax!
