Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

RTO is not innovative, nor disruptive. C’mon Schwab

This is exactly why companies are calling everyone back to the office. They made bad real estate investments and have buildings sitting empty, thus these assets are devalued. But employees shouldn’t bear the burden of revitalizing our cities and surrounding businesses. Instead of accepting that our companies are looking backwards, let’s challenge all these companies (that have banded together to force RTO) into a new way of thinking. Why not turn these bad leases into opportunities to create small, walkable urban centers where people work, live and play?

Calm down @fzg+1nUaZzt8 and don’t get your middle manager pa-ties in a bunch. You are quite obviously the “mo--n” who knows nothing about balance sheets and just wants everyone back in office under your watchful eye to justify your role that you may not even have tomorrow……stop being so negative. At least OP offers a possible solution.

Anyone who things that the majority of corporations are calling people back to the office because of ‘bad real estate investments’ is a mo--n who learns everything from Reddit. Schwab could write off all real estate and it would be meaningless in balance sheet terms.

CEOs care about short term gain. Creative solutions that require long term vision will never satisfy their greed for the now.
