Did I hear correctly that 65% offshore and 35% onshore is the goal this year?

@fx I will definitely start vacationing out of the country and work remotely if that is the case.
@fx to be clear, I don't think the actual client accounts staff were aware this was happening. It would have only been the Engineering and Implementation leadership who would have had to have given him approval as they were more than aware that he was offshore and still accessing client data. No if's and's or but's about it.
@fj To access client prod environments, we have to utilize specific VPN's that are cleared for back-end access. The employee's have to request security clearance and it be granted for them to utilize these specific VPN's. If Gainwell is granting access to these VPN's to offshore employees then Gainwell security staff would be aware this. I am not sure of the protocols they utilize in order to grant access credentials. That department would have those details. I do know of an Indian architect who is key to most engineering and implementation operations, that was accessing these data sets while he was in India visiting. He lives in the states but went to India for an extended visit of family. Most of implementation and engineering were also aware, so many people can speak to these facts. I think technically that would be breaking the no offshore access rule even if he lives here in the states. When US based employees leave the country for vacations I have never heard or seen them accessing client data, that I am aware of, but for this person, it seemed everyone chose to ignore contract wording and allow it.
@ef just to be clear, are you guessing they are using VPNs or do you know that for certain?
sending all my emails to pamela bondi so she can review
@ec I left a nice review of them on Glassdoor with a link to the original article. People need to know they’ll most likely be booted eventually if you’re in the US. I don’t care what kind of job you do. It’s not going to stop.
Just reached out to my state's Senators and the Governor for my state. Gainwell has the Medicaid contracts in this state. I have asked the Governor and Senators to look into these allegations. Stop using US tax monies to fund foreign workers. Stop sending and storing any and all PHI overseas. Someone here stated they are telling foreign employees to tell client they live stateside. Sneaky. The use of VPN's to make it appear you are working from the US in these circumstances would be considered fraud.
It’s all coming to a head.
More and more exposure is going to happen. Investigations are going to start.
If you are a current Gainwell employee you should be on a serious job search.
@dz I heard marketing hired a top-tiered PR agency to try to stop this article. Throwing more money at something when Bloomberg is restating facts is a joke. Marketing is a joke. Gainwell is a joke.
When will all these “leaders” get fired or better yet arrested?
@OP this just came out from Bloomberg

This will come back to haunt them. Seen it before.
@ah thanks for clarifying!
I just listened to the replay. He answered this in the last minute. His answer was regarding the 3200 new employees - 35% were onshore. There was no mention of making it a goal to go 35% onshore employees during this year.
Do you know where we stand in current numbers? Number of Employees? Number of current onshore employees? Number of current offshore employees? This way we know how many of us are in the line of fire. Are they targeting the older employees who have been here a long time? Someone keeps referring to Project Managers, are they in the line of fire? We want to know which of us should be looking for another position. Thank you.
@OP You heard correctly. This is ridiculous!
