Truth is as long as I turn in 7+ calls an hour and 40+ tasks a day I’m untouchable as long as I keep my TM off the radar. Once you stop giving a sh-t about things you can’t control the job is actually really easy. Because my metrics help my TM get their bonuses there’s only maybe 1 TM in 100 who would actually do something about me.

@5tom Metrics are controlling with no flexibility unlike people who don't like to be controlled and enjoy flexibility. TRUTH!

First of all I highly doubt u r taking 7 calls/hr. More importantly you just transferring calls and not giving a rip does indeed make u a bad employee. Hopefully your TM will figure this out and sen you on your miserable way….

Actually fuckwit I regularly pull 7+ calls/hr in INJ. Pls tell me what being sick of apologizing for things I have zero control over makes me a bad employee?

As a CA tired of apologizing for things outside my control (LIAB pends CS, AGERO, waiting for estimate approval, Digital Pay sc--w ups) I no longer stress … just transfer the call. Not paid enough to care.

The entry level pay is not worth the stress. For $37k a year as CA, if you have a clean record, better off getting a job as an office building lobby security guard/greeter for the same money, for a whole lot less stress.

Pay in this industry is very uncompetitive compared to other industries for the amount of work, and the sheer volume of knowledge you need to master to do it decently.

They are offering CA's newly hired $37k no pension and a bonus check if they stay. Meanwhile you can walk into just about any retail or restaurant, pull 45k easy, and not need to learn a massive amount of insurance related stuff.

Or you can like, go drive a truck for $50k-100K, for any company that uses delivery trucks. Demand is high.

I understand why so few making it long after training, once they learn that training isnt very quality, and they can just accept a job anywhere else for around the same pay.

Dont get me started on CS level work.....and for how long youll need to slave as a CA to get promoted. Youll be working a $100k a year job for $56k with how complicated it is. Also the company still gives you the one size fits all training thats mediocre for a CA role, with maybe a week or two of CS specific training, in which I learned its too hard a job to train so they just kinda dont. Think about that. The job is too hard to properly train, and now compare that with pay, expectations on commitment, continued learning requirements, ect.

For a while I saw this job and industry as nothing more than a pension, and thats been gone a few years now. I dont see any reason someone would stick around anymore.

Sadly this issue cannot be calculated with a simple numerical metric, so its an issue that doesnt exist. Still blows my mind this is a fortune 50 company.

OT is at Employers discretion in Every state. Slavery comment is asinine.

It is legal. It’s just ridiculous that rather than hold management accountable for allowing garbage employees to get away with doing nothing, they penalize everyone! The company scratching their heads wondering why no applicants? 50k unhappy employees is your worst advertisement, but should be your finest.
