Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

July layoffs

Layoffs are coming in July.

Is this confirmed or just a rumor still?

Frito Admins find out this week if they are being let go. If they get let go, their last day is Sept 19 with a severance package

@me Be the foolish buffalo and run into that storm for our leadership. They’re smart enough to not do it themselves and allow us to do it for them.

@m7 Agreed that the stock has plummeted but where is the call for a plan and action to salvage and revitalize PepsiCo for a future in the market? Internally there seems to be some denial that anything needs fixing.

@k7 uh…investors are not putting up with it. Have you seen the stock price???

I don’t doubt there are layoff plans. It’s now a part of Pepsi culture. Should scare the heck out of all these college recruits. I’ve have heard zero credible intel about layoffs. I have seen where people left and they weren’t replaced.

@js Wouldn't that be pretty much all of our current senior leadership team?

@js Agree with your comments but I think the pruning needs to hit the lower levels to fully purge the redundancy and underperformance and excessive internal overselling and nepotism running a muck in PepsiCo. Hard to believe investors are putting up with the lax response and inefficient management that has weakened the once giant PepsiCo organization.

@j8 they should get rid of all non value add , non project funded DPA roles first, especially LG+ and money draining VPs, pretending to do work from home and playing games!

@j3 DPA was my guess, probably not gutted but trimmed and rearranged

I know this is going to get a bunch of thumbs down, but if you didn't accept the last VRP package (golden parachute), shame on you. It was a gift looking you right in the face, and you ignored it. Hoping for a new VRP package with 6 mos left before the pension contribution end is just a pipe dream.

Layoffs and additional plant closures are expected this month, and the remaining pension retirees will retire on 12/31. The company gets what it wants and doesn't have to pay any extra money when reducing headcount. We live in a sad world.

True….but the lions share of folks with a pension are old enough. And most can see the writing on the wall and are ready to get of the sinking ship. Sad after all those years. It’s not the same Pepsi as it was and we have really lost our way. Hard to say but I don’t think there’s a path back. VRP is not something most people would have wanted but in today’s environment it’s just the best option. Hard to see a company take such a nose dive and not DLP see what everyone can clearly see everyday.

@ar not everyone with a pension will be old enough for a VRP

If you’re an HR rep…..bring back VRPs with the last day worked 12/31/25

I don't believe any more VRPs are coming this year. Pension contributions ending on December 31 will cause the remaining eligible individuals to leave. They've maximized their returns.

Bonus cuts, layoffs, token raises, dsd system failing, and customers calling us incompetent everyday. Sounds like a winner.
