Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

Intern or never worked at another company

During the NTT transition, I've was amazed and concerned by the multitudes that acted as if they've never been through the new hire process before. And for most, HPE/DXC/Gainwell is all they've ever known.

It was a good laugh to see those individuals who are so quick to exert their dominance, eager to correct others and act if they do no wrong, stumble through, over and under the simplest new hire tasks.

I am looking elsewhere within NTT. Definitely want to separate myself from Gainwell as much as possible.

Staying with Gainwell is a career ki-ler

Don't laugh, it takes dedication to read the dot matrix printer output for the nightly job abends.

I wish they would and convert them over to mental health days. After Gainwell, I need all the therapy I can get.

Gainwell's "HR" is Indian like everything else in this dump of a company. The entire company is a fraud

So far the onboarding with NTT has been awesome compared to the process with Gainwell.

Gainwell - I had to deal with HR interns who wouldn't respond to emails. No well defined onboarding processes at the department level. Everything was and still is, off the cuff and chaotic.

NTT - The two times I've had to deal with HR, I dealt with a manager and whatever issues there were, they were addressed within a reason time-frame.

To NTT's credit their HR teams did a good job in answering questions and guiding folks. Onboarding has been a little bumpy for some but overall I think folks have settled in. The horrible timeframe by which Gainwell notified those of us that were part of this transition was trash. Roughly two weeks prior to the holidays where many had time off long since queued up. It was a lot of upheaval, for a lot of folks in a very short period of time. I'm glad to be rid of the Gainwell yoke, for the most part.

It was like listening to a bunch of interns gearing up for their first job out of school.

Actually NTT onboarding was good. I didn't have any issues. But I've held more than one job in my lifetime.
