Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

What makes this NDA any more important?

Everyone admits that people who know the date and level of impact are not sharing because of the NDA. What makes this NDA unique vs other company news that people are sharing supposedly with existing knowledge? Don't we all risk being fired for chatting or sharing anything here anyway? Or is there more in the NDA that is at risk than the positions, which could be lost anyway?

What level of leadership now knows who will be impacted? Was the HR training on Friday just a procedure overview, which has been covered in other previous posts, or were there more details?

it will happen after the November TG. The most logical thing to do but I am being logical here.

This is like the spanish word, NADA, but without the first A. What do you get? NDA, a big nothing.

10/17 no longer looks like the target date. got this from a crdible source in the know. However, the indivudal would not provide the exact date. didnt day NDA, but reading between the lines, its something to that effect.

News gets leaked NDA or not. No one really knows the date and that’s the harsh reality.

@fee+1p7rVsJW what about our compassion for those folks? aside from giving us all peace of mind, what else will knowing the date do?

pretty sure they are also under some serious undue pressure with the work associated with that NDA...having seen that other side with other orgs, it is weeks of absolute torment and scrutiny. and if schwab's risk averse culture bleeds into that too? you can assume that breaking that NDA has some steep ramifications as well. its real easy to sit and think "i would break the NDA and leak what i know if it was me!" right up until you sign your name on the line and would actually be held accountable for breaking it. they got bills to pay too...

it will leak once it gets closer, it happens with every company layoff.. not just schwab's... it will most likely come from some PL who gets notified that they have a team member impacted and they get "the script" for how to handle it. the fact there hasnt been a substantiated leak yet leads me to believe tomorrow aint the day.

so, move your mouse to make it look like your working while you apply for jobs and block your calendar for a long lunch.

Why hide behind an NDA? Because it’s far easier to do that than to show compassion for your fellow human and do the right thing.

historically speaking, most of our predictions and information we have shared here has been highly speculative and (pretty much) 100% wrong....

Tomorrow has been the newest day we (myself included) believed it to be... now that we are within 24 hours, i am not so sure.. all we can really know is that it is happening this year because of what was shared today on the earning call and Walt's CNBC interview, however the actual date is still a coin flip.

if you're under NDA, its likely you're not impacted, why risk it?
