@fh You need to think big picture. Sorry that I have to guide you through this. The plant closure is just a small piece in the overall scheme of cutting internal cost and outsourcing to India companies. Look around you. Look up the org chart and see who are in charge. Ignorance is bliss.

PepsiCo, once a symbol of growth and opportunity, has joined the growing list of companies that seem to view long-serving, dedicated employees as disposable—mere line items to be cut when it’s time to “streamline.”

Let´s make Pepsico really American again! no more indians in senior leadership / decision-makers roles driving the company to india and replacing American staff with indians. Balance needs to change or we loose Pepsico forever!

@en it is true, Pepsico has been hijacked by Indians with one agenda… ruin the once all American iconic brand and company, take it over and expand in India! Data and numbers consistently support that claim year after a year!

@fg you are saying the decisions to close plants and finance offshoring and procurement offshoring are all because of one nationality?yeah ok we get the breadth of your strategic thinking.

That is the most ridiculous thing I have read. What %of Sr leaders are Indian? A handful. Yet the blame is laid squarely at their feet.. easier to blame “the Indians” than to blame the LT or write to congressional representatives- isn’t it? It’s myopia - this isn’t the only company outsourcing. Do better. Read and research. The situation is concerning but at least diagnose the right problem. Distinguish between the symptoms from the diagnoses.

Lets call it what it is: Pepsico’s journey from an American iconic company to an Indian one! Soon more employees, more production and more revenues will come from India. So in US lets forget about Pepsico , once an American iconic company.!

@c1 I worked there for 21 years. This plant was making money. Beat Plan year after year. This decision is BS. I bet it had to do with high number of calls to the Report line. Also , team members trying to bring the Union in.

Hopefully everyone understands that a Company does not care about you at All.
Wake up...

Poor management. They're are known for hiring inexperienced managers and putting them in positions where they can lose a lot of money. Running things to the ground.

@OP It was announced this morning in a meeting of all management that Frito Lay (PepsiCo) will close the manufacturing portion of the Rancho Cucamonga plant immediately. My husband works in the transportation department and was told that their jobs are safe, for now.
