Effective May 4th, 2020 Lowe associates are required to wear company provided face mask or an approved face covering at all times while on Lowe’s store premises or in a customers home. This is for all associates whether on the clock or off.

The accommodation request through Sedgwick is a joke. Sedgwick is just telling anyone who can't wear the mask to take the unpaid leave as the only accommodation.
I bought a box of 3M N95 masks in January, the day after they were talking about a Pandemic on Fox News.
As soon as I got to work, before I punched in, I bought a box.
My wife still asks what I heard that made me think it would be this bad. I don't recall, but I bought a box for my parents and a box for my daughter and her family.
We still dont have paper facemasks. Our T-shirt masks are already falling apart.
The managers are telling us that there are no paper facemasks, but they are all wearing them every day and every new hire is been given one. An associate told me he overheard a ASM say that he “donated” all the facemasks to his wife who is “front line worker”. She’s an office manager for a dentist office that isn’t even open.
Swear to God Lowes, you better get it together or you gonna have a massive mutiny on your hands.
At 300 microns, the coronavirus particles fly through the material of your black lowes mask as a hummingbird flies across the Grand Canyon. God bless.
State law here. Employees and customers.

Bare in mind the company has had us working for close to two months essentially unprotected. If it were up to Lowe's they would let 5000 customers into the building to buy mulch, flooring and any other non-essential BS item they could possibly fit in their cart and we would be expected to load it for them. The majority of the protections provided thus far by Lowe's were required to comply with CDC guidelines as well as state and county requirements. At my store the only time management limited customers into the store was after a Sheriff would show up and bust us for not being in compliance of county requirements. Meanwhile some at the call centers and in corporate were allowed to work from home. Isn't that special. Corporate couldn't give a rats a– about us otherwise they wouldn't be extending our store hours this soon when this pandemic is far from being over. And if you think the t-shirt / low grade masks that the company is FINALLY providing are worth a c-ap I advise you to put one on and go outside on a cold day an exhale and observe the resulting vapor plume trail. Medical experts have proven that Covid-19 does not require large micro-droplets to spread and can exist in that vapor trail. If the company is serious about protecting us than provide us with N95 rated masks otherwise keep your opinions to yourself as none of us could give a c-ap what you think.
requiring mask isnt doing diddly squat. it feels real good but viruses can get through and escape out of 100% of the mask that will be worn. N95's just barely protect from virus particles this small. what all of these corporations are mandating is pretty much like hearing your HVAC guy say you need a furnace filter so you go get the 99 cent blue filter that can only stop leaves and other really large debris and now deem yourself and your furnace protected. in order to have actual filtration from pollen, dust, bacteria, dander, viruses you have move on up that MERV rating! mask are literally no different! you say well when someone sneezes itll catch a lot of the virus particles! it wont. what youll catch in those cheap mask or tshirt mask will be large particles...all the virus particles will go right through...theyre microscopic.
what actually will happen is that these mask protect no one...and youll be more likely to touch your face because the mask will be very uncomfortable. not to mention the moist warm environment youre creating for bacteria to thrive!
This is hilarious. Y’all beg for the company to do something to assist the employees with protection against the virus then when they do with this the same people do what seems to be the M.O. on here—complain, complain, complain.
Their masks are garbage... And then they increase our exposure to crazy and possibly sick customers by staying open longer? They don't give a sh– about any of us. Only their stock price.
It should be mandatory for customers or they don’t come in. Period
The attorneys told them to require it. “Hey look, we protect our employees!” (Can’t sue us if you get sick!)
For employees unable to wear a face covering because of medical or religious reasons, they must submit the request via Sedgwick.
what if you have a pre-existing condition like asthma? not to mention it is going to get really hot soon where I am and i work OSLG. they expect us to wear these masks for 8 hours in the heat?
