What are the plans for the escape? Is it still planned to be replaced by another ill fated EV, just like the edge?

Ford needs to get rid of these low selling crossovers. We need to focus entirely on TRUCKS!!
Maybe keep two large SUVs to we can continue to offer the Avi and Navi to our older and wealthy and also our young and affluent customers who demand the best.
Ford will eventually ki-l the Escape just like any other vehicles. There is no plane to redesign the Escape. Sales are going down. The escape is still the same as it was 6 years ago.
The plan is for a new Escape that is the most super awesome EV ever made and will sell by the millions.
So you want to know the Escape Plan?
The product pipeline is barren and there’s no new Escape coming. I’ve heard talk that Doug Field’s skunkworks program might be going to LAP. God help the poor souls who have to launch that piece of sh-t.
@nog+1tc0w9gt, I tried buying an escape hybrid last year but the dealerships had a $10k markup on them. Ended up getting the 3-cylinder ICE. It's an OK vehicle. I just cannot see myself spending $40k+ on an Escape that doesn't have all the bells and whistles.
Theres a hybrid escape.
They said there going to make more hybrids but yet dont even promote the hybrids they jave. I bet most people dont know about escape hybrids
It will be awesome in the urban hot spots.
Which is also where the young and affluent customer segment tends to live.
This sounds like a perfect combination.
@rdx+1tc0w9gt - Your idea might work in Chennai, but not in North America.
A small crossover sized EV would absolutely dominate in the marketplace.
Smaller and lighter- without being a sedan, which Americans don't want anyway - would allow for greater range per charge. It would help eliminate range anxiety.
Rumors are thats it’s going to EV land but you know what Farley said we can’t build products we lose billions on. So what does he do? doubles down on losing billions with EVs.
Maybe he should put in a resume at Disney. They like losing money too
