Ford Shifting 20% of Its Production Back to US Strategy - MFGA - Sooner the Better

Ford is assembling more vehicles in the US than any other manufacturer, with nearly 80% of the vehicles it sells in the US being assembled domestically, and employing the most hourly manufacturing workers.

The Ford strategy to align with America First governmental policy and American workers needs to get the remaining 20% of its production back home in the US. The faster the better. Foreign car companies have already cancelled plans for Mexican and Canadian factories in lieu of Good US Factories - investing billions because it is the only was to achieve profitability in the US market with the tariffs. They are on tv with the President proclaiming their support to the US with their investments and winning customers as a result. Americans want America to win which means buying American.

Let the people know Ford supports US workers and is proud of its product built by Americans.

Make Ford Great Again

Remember it's a two way street. Factories in Mexico and Canada can be used for domestic production, and Canadians who bought American cars will face tariffs on those vehicles. Guess everybody forgot about the auto pact that preceded the first free trade deal. My wife and I àre looking to purchase a new vehicle, and like a number of friends, the vehicle will be chosen from those produced anywhere BUT the US.

@bq+1jq9nqjqh that's right. Onshoring of production labor. Offshoring of engineering and development. Cheap labor by Indians, Brazilians, and the Chinese! And they can't tariff that work because it doesn't produce anything tangible!!

The worm has turned. You should have skipped college and took an UAW hourly job!

I hope the company is around long enough for them to go through with this decision. Hate to see any job go overseas.
