Thread regarding ViaSat Inc. layoffs

Among analysts, 38% have rated the stock as a buy, whereas 62% suggest holding, with no sell recommendations.

Viasat is fine, relax.
I trust analysts who are experts in finance then a much of upset FORMER employees who are still clinging to the past on a “anonymous” forum page.
By 2026 everyone will be jealous when Viasat stocks start soaring!
“Should have bought when I had the chance” is all you will be thinking

It's like arguing about politics except there will be no denying the end result on this case. No lipstick on the pig!

@etel+1v3ZFXIp yep and they will do so from CH11. Iridium went through the same and the assets were purchased in BK for $25million. At that cost basis anybody can make a good run for it. Viasat costs will need BK restructuring for a new owner to make money on it.

Haha OP - dream on. This stock is crashing and will never recover to its former heights of $45, $50 or even $60
$9.58 now and soon a penny stock.
Anyone taking bets on when it will be delisted?
Perhaps someone will buy Viasat for pennies on the dollar to get the assets and contracts.

"Among analysts, 38% have rated the stock as a buy, whereas 62% suggest holding, with no sell recommendations".
That may change when we tell analysts and the street that the Delta rollout is in danger of switching to Elon.
And that Qatar is, erm, switching to Elon.

@1daz+1v3ZFXIp - you are either delusional…or have literally no idea on the long-term issues this company faces given lack of timely action by MD and the rest of this exec given market disruption and consolidation…or you work for a company other than Viasat.

The funny thing about ridiculously low prices is that these will go even lower.

If analysts were any good, they would be millionaires and retired living on an island somewhere.

Totally agree with you! This site is just a bunch of disgruntled trolls who got laid off a long time ago and have no idea what's going on in the company now. They are posting nonsense and fiction.

I work with multiple teams in the company, and morale is pretty high. Everyone is hard working and dedicated to their jobs. I check Slack at midnight before bed, and so many people still have a green dot next to their name. I get late night emails from Git from people submitting code late. People are handling on call duties on the weekend. Some are even doing it while on vacation, while on maternity and paternity leave, and I've even seen it from a few people who were supposed to be retired.

I don't know anyone who is worried about layoffs. No one is leaving, and, in fact, the company has started hiring again. Of course that doesn't mean there won't be some low performers or people in business units that are no longer a priority let go here and there. But at many recent all hands, not just with Guru and Mark, but with other leaders too, there is a strong sense of optimism and a feeling that the company is moving in the right direction. It's not fake, it is a sentiment shared amongst many people I've talked with.

Look at the company's press releases. New deals and contracts are being announced on a regular basis. There are several other reasons, that cannot be named, to be positive about the future of this company. All I can say is that I have maxxed out my ESPP and cannot believe my good fortune to be acquiring shares at ridiculously low prices.

I worked there for over 12 years until last November. There were a couple of brief periods of market demand for the stock, but mostly it bounced around at its lows. I was never worthwhile to do ESPP or hold the RSUs. Some companies work to reward shareholders and some don't. I'll always remember the market reaction when they announced the plan to launch a satellite.

most analysts are out of touch with the reality of the company and just looking at an opportunity to pick up a stock that is down bad... my finance buddy took a look at ViaSat's financials 12 years ago and the recommendation... "get your investments out of this company"
