Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Tariffs start Wednesday

Mary wants us to work hard and not pay attention to possible layoffs or talk about it.

I can see how she thinks that's a good idea, but how does that help us?

Wall Street will complain about the tariffs and Trump will back down.

Expect them to be gone or have huge exceptions within a week.

They have indian managers who are from dowry community and ki-l their own infants and family members for dowry. Dowry means based on the amount they get they even marry dead and rotten animal. These are the kind of people MARY BARA has. This company will be extinct in 5 years. Under MARY AND MARK's leadership the company shrunk from Global to local and will be dead soon. It has been worse that war zone or Ho-e house.

The US has been footing the bill and paying tariffs for decades. We're done giving handouts. We need to rebuild from within, aside from whether ur a trumper or not. party's over. Bring manufacturing back. Demand that skills are required. The latter Gen Z'rs are waking up. We're a sovereign nation, not the policemen and welfare of the world. Blame your greedy and UGLY IMA CEO and the OTHER shareholders. Time for a change.

Consumer debt levels and delinquencies are the highest in recorded history.
Add that to elevated interest rates and inflation and you have a consumer that isn't able to afford GM cars. That's a much bigger threat than tariffs.
Why weren't you concerned before? Now the world is ending? SMH

They've stockpiled imported parts and completed cars, so tariffs probably won't bite for us or our customers for a few months.

Maybe Trump will change his mind by then and stop the tariffs, so no one will be affected.
