Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Supervisors have access to Vax Status portal

Was just confirmed by my line management that supervisors (those with direct reports) have access to their report’s vaccine status. They can see “cleared,” “pending,” “no response” for each of their reports vax status.
Remember how DP told everyone only chevron medical would have access to that info so they could “track overall status in order to make high level decisions”? Ya, that was a big lie as usual.
So be sure to wear your scarlet muzzle if you arent vaxed and refuse to play along by faking a vax card.

I hope everyone enjoys Chevron’s new power of sharing employees medical info with supervisors who will definitely not consider that info during your performance review. They definitely wont ever use this power for something that you dont agree with…

Does he not realize that every single FDA fact sheet on these (non)-vaccines starts out by stating:

  1. there is no vaccine that prevents Covid-19, &
  2. The FDA has not approved the use of any vaccine.

How difficult is it for anyone to understand this?

It's a forgone conclusion that we'll have more "forced mask wearers" in Houston than San Ramon. DP already threw his little "I'm disappointed in y'all" fit regarding the vax turnout in Houston.

Or you could have had some actual principles and refused. Going along with the vax card bs only enables them further. Its that mentality that has helped lead us into a 15 month masked lockdown.
They will feel empowered to further restrict freedom/choice when they start inevitably requiring yearly booster shots.
Big pharma, the state, and globocorp love your “compliance.”

Interesting that it’s in a state that is going through a recall election… just saying

You lack a general understanding of how viruses morph into new strains. TL:DR, they weaken in their impact, but are more easily transmittable.

In terms of the Delta, it really smacks of desperation in the part of those who have profited immensely off of COVID to want to continue the paranoia. I feel sorry for the kids of the Covidians who face a higher risk of long term damage from the vax itself, than from Covid.

LA now recommends masks in all indoor spaces. Suggest we all keep them on at work when outside our cubicle. Delta is deadly.

Glad to see the mo--ns will proudly advertise their stupidity with snappy phrases on their shirts. It will make the next round of layoffs go much quicker.

That's fake news concerning the fact that all new covid deaths are from the non-vaccinated.

Let's revisit this in a year or so and see where we stand. I'm thinking my career path is looking way up.

Good for you. If you have a like-minded manager then you should not have a problem. If you have a crazy Covidian then you will need a face-diaper.

@5eqb, Why were you not wearing your mask out in the hallway? You can catch all sorts of stuff out there, lol.

An unskilled guy in our hallway was not wearing the mask for two weeks. Now he is. Conclude what you like.

Agree with the last post, Fake news. I have not been vaccinated and no problem showing up at the office with no mask. No discrimination. Thanks for leaving us be. We have work to do, unlike most of the pathetic millennials trolling this layoffs site.

Nearly all COVID deaths in US are now among unvaccinated
CARLA K. JOHNSON and MIKE STOBBE

Nearly all COVID-19 deaths in the U.S. now are in people who weren’t vaccinated, a staggering demonstration of how effective the shots have been and an indication that deaths per day — now down to under 300 — could be practically zero if everyone eligible got the vaccine.

Nice bait.
Ill bite…
Big talk for a sheep. You literally wont do a thing. You envy those who stand up to baby coward tyrants like you. Keep seething though. I still wont get vaxxed. You threatening to withhold our shekels does not scare us.

I've already made a note of which 30 direct reports have yet to upload proof of vaccination. There will be consequences for those that want to infect others.

I don't know you, but I love you for doing this. I'm mulling my choices in attire for return to work.

Since the mask is really about safety, and safety is a concern I'm looking at an Israeli-issued gas mask and a plate carrier with Level 3 protection because as we all know, there's always time to do it right.

@slg, Does HR also share the occasional false positive results too? I’m sure they don’t, so logically they don’t share any information of this kind. Troll.

It doesn’t matter to me if there’s a company database or who can see it. I wear a shirt to work everyday with “NO VAXX FOR ME” stenciled on the front pocket.

I told you folks this a month ago and all I received was cries of Fake News. So now ya'll care?

It should also be worth mentioning that there are different physical distancing requirements for San Ramon vs. Houston. In SR the vaxxed and unvaxxed no longer have to physically distance themselves. In Houston they do.

So apparently the vaccine does not work in Houston and the vaxxed should still live their everyday lives in fear and panic. Got it.

There will be class action over this overt discrimination. Mark my words.

Even if they do, that doesnt make it right. I dont care if they use “the same logic” to revoke even more bodily autonomy and pricacy from their employees. Its wrong regardless. But anything in the name of “safety” right?

Maybe they should have put some of that focus on the safety around moving giant construction machinery on saturday so a guy didnt have to end up underneath a tire…but at least he had his vaccination!
