Speaking of layoff.com, it’s a lightly moderated website with hundreds of forums like this one. Someone recently summed up the site rules rules (the full list of rules is listed in the footer, but this basicly covers everything):
- no personal names, initials (ok to name c-suits as they are public figures, not ok to name a middle manager or an employee)
- no foul language
- no threats & violence, bullying, slandering
- no politics
- no religion/race/ethnicity talk
- no advertizing, no asking for votes/vote manipulations (of any kind - political, union, etc)
Thanks to thelayoff.com we have a voice that can be free of the company and union harassment. After all they are in it together. Hand in hand working against the honest working man. If you want one moment of truth pull up a chair and relax my friends for the story will be told here forever.

Everything will be ok. No matter who gets elected GE/Verona still has the 301 in their pocket. Just look at all the union perks that have vanished over the past 5 contracts. Along with rising healthcare premiums. But all in all we still have a job right! I vote to not vote!

You are aware people use this site simply because they may not be comfortable speaking or asking questions to their representatives, or maybe they don’t trust their representatives. Either way they are within their right to do so , that is the exact reason this platform was created. Telling them to grow up , having posts removed are also proving why a platform like this is necessary.
