Yeah ok
I’ve got my going away speech written and rehearsed. I don’t need this job anyway. I just did it to have something to do during the day. Making 3-4X my salary from real estate investing. It was cringe worthy listening to my leaders try to motivate me when I knew all along my personal income was at least double if not triple theirs. If they only knew who they were talking to.
Still can’t decide if being “left standing” is good. Or bad. Which way do I want my luck to go. I just can’t decide. Please tell me all the reasons why winning is being “left standing”.
Really @emt, Winners? Just remember you’re a Winner when they tell you “you’ve been left standing”, then see all the id–ts that were allowed to keep a job.
Remember that you are, Winning in any Environment! So no matter what...you are Winners!!
No luck needed with these skills!!! Thanks anyway!!
Went through this fiasco in the 2015 ROM its a roulette wheel sadly there will be a lot of people walking out of the door with no explanation why they are being let go other than they have been left standing. Whatever that means an eloquent way of telling you that you have lost your job.
As a Project Manager for MCP for more than 20 years I was alarmed at the talent we let let go amazing people dedicated to the project and making things happen with some incredible innovative ideas.
The question is it fair probably not but for those with a job next week it will seem fair but those unemployed a very different scenario.
Wishing you all the best and for those not selected believe in yourselves and move forward Chevron is not the only game in town.
It will be okay. At least we will be out of our misery next week. Good luck.
