Diabetes dutch warehouse main DC Heerlen 2 Europe the Netherlands Earlbakkenstreet 10... is threatening to be closed. As it is not sure if they will be continuing under the name Minimed to go further .

@bw noooo they will take a small portion with them. They rest will be given the boot. People need to be smart. I know several people who have moved into other Medtronic OUs. And a number have already started looking outside of Medtronic.

Don't wait until you are given your termination letter. Be smart and update your CV. And start applying. It's going to be awful. You are competing with your Medtronic employee colleagues for a job.

Medtronic diabetes leadership team is awful. They don't actually know what they are doing half of the time. Bosses take credit for all their direct employees work and get promoted to the next level.

I see it as karma. They are all talk. And the results show. Happy that it's going downhill for the leadership team.

For the fair few that actually worked hard. Get out while you can. Your leadership team isnt going to protect you.

I have already seen a number of people moving into the other OUs. The rest need to be smart and start looking elsewhere.

I went through that with J&J: usually there is a “soft fence” that people currently working at the impacted business are not allowed to apply to any roles within the company.

@eh Su-ks to be them. Think of the poor souls at Vents who got stuck there and then get laid off a few months later.

@bw Don't count on it. There's always a list of roles that will go to the NewCo and those that will not. There is also always a freeze on terminations and direction to stay silent on whether people will go to NewCo or not. They need the HC (read: sales, expenses, P&L) as stable as possible while they make the estimates.

Why else do you think during divestitures that people aren't allowed to apply to other roles?

They will leave people there hanging until the bitter end regardless of whether they are going to transfer them over to NewCo, or fire them for Day 1 of the NewCo.
