The word going around my department , including our department manager, is that there will be no more layoffs this year due to the fact that so many people elected to retire this year. Upper management is actually concerned that they are losing too many people with the retirements.

@eer+1jRptqfd I am a green badge. I am still around, but I do believe this Xmas, "Santa" will be handing me a pink slip. It doesn't matter that I hold several responsibilities (I've been picking those up since 2019, every time my team was letting people go) since there is nobody else left to fire. Oh, well! Sh-t happens!
Is there any agency left? Anyone thinking that this won't be a blue badge layoff again is delusional.
Rumor has been around for a few couple of months that there will be some agency layoffs in December.
