Why would they open Jenks back up? Do you think they shut it down for the hell of it?

I wish it would offset i work in north platte and some these guys dont deserve to have a job. Some guys work hard. Any information would be useful as me n family prepare for worse and move out this town. Im guessing they will see how many guys they dont need after they close east hump. Where will those guys go? How many guys are in east hump?

Word is layoffs at NP to offset the reopening of Jenks for the last quarter of the year. So... I guess we will see.

Not sure when Jenks will reopen but, I'll probably stay down at the Ramp when it does. It's actually very rewarding to go home tired, hot, dirty, and smelling like hobo аss every day. The knowledge I'm gaining by working on locomotives that I never even knew existed is fun, and fulfilling. I especially enjoy all of the heat bumps I'm getting all over upper thighs from the excessive amounts of Swamp Аss I get every day. I sit in the bathroom when the PUPpet Master iant around, and pop them.

Thank you Uncle Vena for showing me who's really the boss!

@edc It appears to have been intentional. My guess is that it’s someone trying to make fun of the lack of writing skills of some of the posters here, as if it mattered to begin with.

The first reply kind of makes me wonder how far that person actually got in grade school before dropping out. Those of us that can speak normal English have to reread and try to figure what they meant. What's up with the damn title post? Haters gonna hate? Ok hate what? The latest is the locations that are shut down will remain shut down until its deemed necessary to reopen them. Other locations and shops are being considered for reduced operations to meet the CoVena-19 standards. I know that doesn't say much, but the company doesn't say anything to anyone. The only time anyone will know anything will be on the day it happens. It's truly sad what's happening at the UP, and I feel for most of you. The UP is a terrible and very ungrateful company to work for. I would suggest people that are still there, look for something better. The UP is truly the worst company to work for, and I would like to see them go under.

Beat bet transfer to north platte we will be so busy that everyone elses shop closing or layin off. We will pick up all u all work. They told us no layoffs. Think about it NP be spot to work for. Vena n bosses told us will be callin guys back. So east coal shutting down more work for shop if you think about it.
