Thread regarding Ford layoffs

I'm not leaving on my own

I'm thinking their goal with leaking this info ahead of the actual layoffs is to push people to start finding ways to leave before it even happens because they're worried they'll be affected. I'm not doing that. Why save them money? I'm perfectly okay with being paid to leave. Even if I don't have a job lined up, severance will help me get there. I'm not going to save Ford one cent, no matter how much they hope I would.

"Due to your attitude, I can just about guarantee you are on the layoff list."

How would you know that? Isnt it just a normal reaction to have? It is not like the company didn't take things from their employees either all these years. Is that attitude also? could you be on the layoff list without this attitude? Is that a guarantee? Should we be talking more nicely in an anonymous environment and then we are worthy?

It ticks me off that our c-suite / c-suite adjacent plays these games. But there seems to be a type that feels they do not have to play by societies rules.

The impact on “peons” did not even enter the equation for the leaker
