Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

This place su-ks the life out of me

We had some bs under Charlie but never have i ever experienced anything like this now under Robin. It has become so toxic and everyday could be your last with what they have been doing to employees. And yet he goes on the news or does his little interviews and has everyone thinking hes amazing and doing great things

@e5 thats because instead of keeping lost cost locations the mo--ns up top are investing in texas, pa and nyc. All high cost locationd and the worst employees i have ever seen . So we get closed, moved home then fired for being home while mo--ns who know sh-t and do sh-t keep their job. It all makes sense

Left BNY Mellon in Oriskany after nearly ten years. The supervisors and managers were apathetic, arrogant and condescending assh*%#!. Leaving was the most gratifying and invigorating feeling. Now the building and parking lot are empty and all traces of BNY Mellon’s existence have been removed.

@bm you dont pay attention do you? Yes people can try to leave but the point is this place is toxic thanks to robin and his dipsh-ts. It pays the bills as you say until they can fraud your performance like they did eoy and terminate you without severance. And thats only part of it. So stay focused and you might get the point of the post

@b7 but maybe not everyone is feeling what you are feeling ?! Work is work and I’m not sure why slugs like you give a sh-t about the CEO he isn’t your coworker. This is a job to pay for bills if it’s this toxic people can leave and find something else

@ap I took my "toxic" attitude to a fully remote company that was a pay raise, doesn't lay people off monthly, and has a positive culture.

Your attitude perfectly sums up BNY's toxic culture. Have fun with the boot in your mouth.

Child, the only thing wrong with working here is your toxic attitude.

The only reason it wasn't this bad under Charlie was because covid put a temporary stop to it and then he left. This was always the plan.

After graduating college last year, I started working here in the fall hoping to gain experience in finance and business. Little did I know I would be learning how bad this place is to have a career at. Horrible. I hope people who want to find a different job can because it took me a very short amount of time to realize that this place is not somewhere someone should work long term, especially with these ridiculous amount of layoffs they do.
