As reported in WSJ yesterday, the economy is headed for a major recession followed by stagflation. Will LRs accelerate as these economic events unfold or will they stay the same?

No recession this year and last year. Companies are cutting and outsourcing jobs !

Cisco will start the 3rd round LR this year (NOT the last one this year) from November 28 and let 13% employee go by the end of 2024.

Economic downturn = layoffs. Predictions at the end of last year, 2023, said the market was going crash this year and it didn't. There will be a recession eventually, predicting when though is very difficult.
