@hr Very light changes announced in that email. This is the re-org they paid Deloitte so much money to outline for us?
Co-heads of marketing seems like an awful idea and compounds the same issues we see today.
Global distribution reorg email from DS just landed. Mostly a lot of rearranging the middle management deck chairs, but a few them (guy in APAC, someone in Marketing Data) are losing theirs.
Nothing about other GD layoffs, but I suspect those will soon commence, probably without any more announcements.

I was laid off last Thursday. I received an email Wednesday afternoon for a conspicuous meeting with my manager the next day in a first floor meeting room (not his office). I was laid off the next day. If you get a meeting invite with the subject of “Business Update” then start to print, email yourself, and otherwise organize documents you will find helpful that you will not be able to retrieve from your TRP computer immediately after being fired. Performance appraisals, resume, head shots, your vacation balance, any examples of body of work you have completed, usernames and passwords for non TRP sites that you may have saved on a TRP device, etc.

new post is claiming another wave is imminent today into tomorrow with another to follow next week
@e0 correct. Look at the original thread with 40k views from earlier and you’ll see people were getting emailed the night before. At this point I’m waiting to see if we see confirmation of this happening either this evening or tomorrow evening depending on the day things go down.
@dz sorry, you’re saying notifications went out last wednesday to those that were laid off thursday?
@dy they went out on Wednesday afternoon, but some are saying layoffs tomorrow. Usually go the night before the day of cuts. Just don’t know what day people are anticipating. I’ve seen Wednesday and Thursday both several times here. Can’t a general feeling one way or another.

hearing reorg for global brand / broader mktg org coming tomorrow (wednesday). unsure extent and how this connects with additional layoffs but possibly including sales in some capacity

Someone on here said that their manager was given a list of who to axe - so this is coming from way up. I have never seen layoffs conducted in such a cruel way. I try and keep my head down and do my work, but it is very unnerving. I feel no matter what I do, in the end, I cannot compete with people who live in countries with dirt cheap standard of living who can work for 90% less. I suspect the quality of work from these people will be lower as some must train those taking their jobs, but it seems it is all about the Benjamins. I'm just assuming I will be affected at some point and am reacting accordingly.
@OP absolutely nothing...even people who usually have information are in the dark. Its not a good feeling.
