HR is concocting a plan to do a massive device return and badge return in person.

Here is how it’s going to go:

  1. You report to your center of gravity once it’s announced
  2. 15 min emails will go out within 1-2 weeks
  3. It’s all she wrote

This massive layoff clears the way for space issues and allows Ford to cash in on available talent.

@bz yep, they spend a lot of money and get no results. On a per person basis, they also spend the most on travel, sending many people to NASCAR races, WRC races, Australian Supercars races, NHRA races, IMSA races, WEC races, and so on every week. It's funny that I'm supposed to reduce discretionary travel as someone that travels once a year while these guys are living the life at races every week.

@ba HR and Ford Land developed the term because teams could not understand the concept of open desks. The men cried about how they couldn't sit near their besties and had no place to put their Hello Kitty purses. So they started making signs for each team so they could all be in the same area. Apparently if people can't sit in the same exact desk each day they get lost and dont know where they are.

@ad I don't think the meeting would be about layoffs if they sent the notice 2 weeks in advance. They usually give 1-2 days notice max for layoff meetings. The integrated services digital product team got emails on Sunday night about layoffs on Monday and Tuesday.

@ad Ford Performance is a drain on the company, just like Model E. They spend millions of dollars but can't get results.

Chevy and Toyota run circles around Ford in NASCAR. The Corvette ZR1 is faster than the Mustang GTD for half the price. The Mustang GT3 has never won anything. The much overhyped Dakar truck was beat by a old Toyota Hilux.

The only races they win are races no one cares about. Farley probably doesn't know this but nobody watches King of the Hammers Ultra4 4669 Modded Stock Baja 7000 class, nor does anybody buy a Bronco because of them.

Hopefully, the next CEO after Farley cuts this useless organization.

I was at world headquarters for the open house a few months back and seen the center of gravity signs on cubicles. I said to my coworker they have to indicate the center of gravity on each floor because if they don’t the fat chicks will gather on one side of the building it will tip over

These are meeting notices for 15 minute meetings with managers 2 levels above you telling you that you are fired.

The person recommending quitting now is correct. If there are job openings in other areas that meet your experience and education, quit now and you can hire back in 6 months. If you wait, even if you have exactly the skills, education and experience they are looking for, they won’t even talk to you.

If you are full time , I highly recommend resignation so that you can easily go back as contract or even now ask manager if you can quit and quickly join as contract ,, rather than getting banned for life from coming back as FT or contract,,, quit now!! you will thank me for this advice pretty soon!! The price you pay for neting FT and working for this place is life time ban at the cost of higher mgmt ego!!
