@dr that is exactly what happened. Athina has zero clue on AI and yet lies in every media about what is being done. Nothing is being done because she has something going on with the Indians and just squandering money with any oversight.

In 5 years she has delivered nothing. Her teams are in total disarray.
She had great opportunity to change direction with the correct people but again she fell into fleecing trap of the Indians.

As a Data Science VP, you kinda expect to be in charge of AI deployment. Until Athina hires someone else to do AI. I would also leave.
Not enough resources? Good lord, he had 5 senior directors, each with large teams underneath them. They are more than adequately resourced. Also on balance a good team, much more productive than most of the rest of DAI
He had little to work with. Never enough budget to acquire the right talent.
