People have mentioned looking at calendars, sudden meetings, etc. Can anyone whose been through it discuss the process. Who lets you go? Your direct supervisor?

Well,
My built in webcam stopped working a few days ago and just on Friday, my keyboard keys no longer illuminate? Not sure if this is related to a bad omen or perhaps some bad 'Signs' (shout out to Tesla).....
@uoq+1ngD7c0l Well said!
Bingo @dnd+1ngD7c0l!
This is the surest tell you are gone - not being able to send out attachments outside of Ford or being able to print out documents which official watermarks metadata like Proprietary, etc..
Was SIRPed last year, and that started happening to me about a week before I was officially told - was trying to do work (sending updated doc to a vendor and discovered could not). Also stop letting me print certain documents, which was weird. Told supervisor, she didn’t know. Sent in ticket to help desk, got stonewalled.
So if that has already happened to you, or does Monday, might as well prepare mentally cause good chance you made the list very few want to make
I noticed soon before notifications went out that impacted people had their CDS record updated, either badge status or some other status, so the last updated date would be very recent. Super Duper CDS
Well, my laptop has been slow to connect to VPN, and very slow in general. I’ve had to install a couple software apps and they fail to install properly. My department has had work sent to India/Mexico.
So, if I am gone in the next couple weeks these were all signs.
Well played sir. Tip of the cap to you.
Ask yourself these questions:
- Am I useless?
- Have I personally cost the company lots of money because of my less than stellar work capability or ethic?
- Do I have friends or family in powerful places in Ford?
- Am I a bully?
If you answer yes to any of these or especially all, then you are SAFE. Keep doing what you are doing. Ford appreciates you.
You cannot tell if you are on the list until the day it happens. First your badge will be inactivated and then you will not be able to sent external emails. Check CDS for your badge status if "I" then you got the shaft. I knew something was up at 7:00 am after a coworker told me that he and his supervisor were let go. I was not formally informed until 3:00 pm when my manager contacted me to deliver the news. My supervisor knew nothing and never contacted me. Just like a summary execution; bad company, bad management, bad products.
See the new thread I just started. I was SIRP'd in August and talk about some of the signs leading up.
A big one is if you can send attachments in outlook. Or more specifically if that takes a really long time. In the weeks leading up to my layoff hitting " Add attachment" took a longtime then actually selecting the attachment. I assume it was scans running to try to limit what I could send.
