Thread regarding Occidental Petroleum Corp. layoffs

Oxy is a resilient company

I give thumbs up to the management of Oxy for the stability of the company despite the fact that other majors are laying off or in the process of laying off their employees.

Whether you like it or not, Oxy is a good company that takes good care of their employees. If you feel otherwise, the question is, why haven’t you move to another employer of choice? You can’t be complaining that Oxy is not a good company and yet you refuse to quit. That says a lot about you than Oxy.

If truly in your hearts of hearts believe Oxy is not that great, please resign and go to a better place. Please let’s be appreciative of what we have before we lose it.

@dn+1jre2gq62, I’m not sure Bernie is that happy. He always seems to have a frown on his face.

Or @aq+1 could be very successful at finding others to blame then trashing them out and making money off of them. Basically a not so nice person but very happy. Does this sound like someone we have in Washington.

@aq+1 doesn’t process information that way. He sees the world through victim glasses, always evaluating what other people do. Never, does he stop to think what he could do to make his own life better. He is stuck in a rut, never looking to see how he can get out, only trying to find someone to blame. Perpetual loser.

@aq+1, what a bitter, tired loser you are. If you don’t like the stock, just sell it. Take the L and use it as a learning experience that you aren’t good at researching companies and picking stocks. If you don’t like working at Oxy, just leave, unless you aren’t good enough to get a job elsewhere.

Same post every week, Oxy Lover or HR Troll. Is this you Vicki? If so,
look at the article from Barron’s that describes how you sc--wed up Oxy more than it already was.
Facts hurt HR Troll, time for you to clean out your cubicle.

Not lower the stock price and pay dividends that are investment quality. That’s what we want.

The last l checked, they are still making money for Wall Street and paying quarterly dividends. Which else do you want them to do for the shareholders other than make them money for their investment in the company. They also need to pay their employees that helps the company make money for the shareholders. Everyone wins at the end of the day.

So it’s a good company the way they treat their employees. Who really cares. They don’t respect the investors. You are not there to just collect a paycheck and enjoy it. You are there to make money for wall street. If you don’t believe in this then go teach at a university or work for the government.
