Another post by a non bargained for employee or non employee digging for info. No reason you couldn’t have listened on the call. No reason you can’t ask around your crew room. No reason you can’t call a steward and ask them.

Well said by someone that's lived a little and is now dealing with the crazy world bestowed upon us!

Your loyalty as a worker, that once was a badge of honor for employer and employee, is now looked at as a liability. The greed in corporations, mainly to satisfy their standing with the investors, have accelerated the eroding (benefits, pay and shady practices) of the employee/employer relationship of today. Some businesses still appreciate the old relationship and will be rewarded, in more ways than just a bottom line number at the end of their shortsided, fiscal year calculations. I, one of many in my social group, have not been putting my money, what little is left after the life necesseties (taxes, housing, food, electricity, health insurance, retirement now and kids needs) toward these low quality products and horrible customer service these corporations offer nowadays! It will take some time to make an impact, and probably too late for my direct benefit, but will hopefully help give our next generation a sense of how they can make an impact going forward....pull your hard earned money off the table and shelve it, for just the basic needs of life, and hit them where it hurts...purchasing power.

I wish nothing but the best for everyone just trying to make a living with what is given in today's market, but my evervescence for what quality of life looks like in the future is rapidly eroding as well now. Good luck to all good people still fighting the fight!

Does it really matter?

As in Lumen has made no secret of their plans to either off load and or shut down mass markets in its entirety, which accounts for the overwhelming majority of its unionized workforce.

AT&T has no plans to unionize NetworkCO.

The company says it will take a year to close the deal, well we know that they tell lies to mislead the employees so don’t be surprised if the deal is done by Christmas.

They currently are all wound up about copper, we know they don’t really care about growing copper or retaining those customers… it’s just something that they can use gas light everyone so as to keep them busy and distracted from what’s coming..

Good chance the upcoming district 7 lumen contract never gets renewed and the company just makes use of more contractors,

Good chance by June next year that the company will be in bankruptcy..

Best be prepared for that kind of a future, it’s the most likely outcome!!

It’s amazing this site is commented by and viewed mostly by union installers worried about contracts. Hardly any other business unit comments. Guess they are safe until 2026.
