when these price increases show up in the results, then talk about safe, which is a temporary condition
The entire industry has to raise prices. Take a look at the announcements of everyone in this business, they are all losing bigtime on NAND. They have all announced price increases. This is not a WDC issue it’s the entire industry.
Split is happening around the June/July timeframe so we are safe till May.
@5hyh+1pXTZQjm would not bet either way with a split on the horizon
Soo… we are safe until May?
Our stock is soo close to hitting $50.
Unless you signup, this is what it says: "Western Digital has informed customers that prices for NAND flash memory may rise by up to 55% in the coming quarters, according to industry sources."
... may ...
yes, and may be pigs will fly too
raising prices, and quality?
I took this as a press release to keep the stock price from falling below $47. That being about the value that Elliot wants the stock to be.
It also allows them to claim that Sandisk will be profitable as a separate company.
every supplier is doing the same thing
@das+1pXTZQjm we know it’s cyclical, so unless there is better bit allocation what prevents repeating this cycle
Yea, it's what needs to happen, but unfortunately SanDisk is still delusional and thinks we have a superior product.
The oversupply has been managed. This is what has been talked about for the past couple quarters.
It's unfortunate that many were affected by RIF because we always knew that things will pick up eventually.
They have to as they and the entire industry is selling at a loss. It will take a few quarters for this to happen but it has to.
an up tick in prices is good
