Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

HR led by mini Trump - layoffs w/o 9/15

Employee morale is in the drain, Org structures dictated by McKinsey and HR, leadership lost autonomy and accountability. HR is laughable the new senior leadership have zero intellect there is nil appreciation for workload and challenges. It is a dictatorship. More directors and above will be laid off 9/15. Stephanie preparing for company sale is the rumour mill. Leaders are posturing for optics, not performance. Critical talent is at risk of being driven out rather than retained.

To the people who know layoffs are coming 9/15 can you elaborate what divisions it’s happening and how many ?

@148 FIS responds to questions with standard (legal) letters. HR will not respond to anything specific. FIS uses intimidation to have the separation agreement signed. It’s business and not personal to FIS and the end justifies the means. Clearly, it’s personal to employees after 20 years of dedicated service and a family to feed.

Lotta rage in this thread. I get it—change su-ks, and none of this has been easy. But y’all are acting like the place is being run by cartoon villains.

I’ve been here long enough to see the pendulum swing more than once. This isn’t the first restructuring, and it won’t be the last. Most of the loudest voices here either:
• already left,
• are mad they’re no longer untouchable, or
• think “strategy” means “do what we’ve always done.”

If you’re staying, focus on what you can influence. If you’re leaving, cool—go thrive. But calling everyone incompetent and throwing around sale rumors like Reddit stock bros doesn’t exactly scream “critical talent.”

Just saying. Some of us are still here, still working, and still giving a damn.

@j8 well said and couldn’t agree more! Politics are some people’s religion. Insanity! Bottom line, C-Suite is selfish and greedy and do not care about the lives they are ruining. They could use their bonus alone to keep all the benefits they’ve cut from the workers. Greed at its worst!

@OP let’s go make this a political debate. One, I know he is a Dem but that has NOTHING to do with the narcissistic greed from the floor. Let’s please keep it to the facts! Both sides of politics have bad seeds so let’s keep it to facts. Insane to me the lengths both sides go to to try to pin each other against each other. What’s wrong is wrong regardless of the politics.

@hw Interesting how that aligns perfectly with the other numbers going around - the one about the plan to cut down the workforce to ~35K.

Bob T let it slip during an HR all-hands this week that when FIS onboards Global Payments (9000 employees) it will be like we’re onboarding 25% of our global workforce…math ain’t mathing…

Big Bobby T is too busy dismantling the company and pretending he’s a sales leader. Total joke. If he had someone point to his lane, his giant ego would still prevent his oversized head from staying in his lane. That guy sat on the stage at SKO like he had ANY credibility…of which he has none.
