They may as well draw our names from a hat. Unfortunately, our outcome is in the hands of Mgmt and HR so once again people who have NO clue what we do, or what we are capable of will be the ones deciding OUR fate.

If you're not in critical area and you use medical leave to get out of work because you are a lazy loser.

@db as an LTD engineer, several weeks ago I was sent a “random survey” by HR asking some targeted questions about my manager and skip level. based on the questions related to efficiency I suspect they are using the survey results to put some targets on groups. So even without formal ranking they have some data points

@d8 Managers were not rated by direct reports. The most frustrating part is that in the last four quarters direct reports did not get a chance to rate their managers. This was a standard practice to rate managers a year ago. I believe this omission was deliberate by the mgmt to avoid bad scores and save their skin.

For years the criteria has been the same. Manager picks who they like and any random set of factors.
Then pick criteria that supports the people they picked, fill out skill criteria to justify.

One filter is whether you agree to RTO from 1st September. Skill set and performance is another. How skill set is defined and ranked is coming from groups and managers. Essentially managers ranked their direct reports with a skills + performance ranking and feedback on the employee status on how likely are they to RTO. Upper managers+ HR will decide. Stagnant career is another criteria - how long one stays in a role without promotion. Plus overall team roles in Intel- if same teams are doing essentially the same work- some redundant roles will be eliminated. Looks like LTD and LTD-M will be merged again. I learned from some modules that are working on first-of-a-kind process that they are safe in this round. Most of us , like myself, are in danger. How my manager is around me recently- seems my role and many in my team will be impacted.
