ERM does not oversee the PFAS exit dude.. they just manage the legal aspects of what 3M wants to say externally, that includes PFAS - The transition management office runs all other aspects of the PFAS exit… like a divestiture office..

Different group. It is called Enterprise Risk Management and reports to someone who reports to the CLO in the legal group.

That’s because nobody wants the word “PFAS” in their title, DUH! The team is called something super vague like environmental initiatives or something - the internal 3M site has a transition management office page where you can see the leadership team.

Personally, I have worked with them and I like them. The CTO has done a good job hiring some super smart people to oversee it - no nonsense, they get sh-t done, and they’re discreet about what they do, unlike the rest of the peacocks at 3M who constantly want everyone to know if they churn out a single powerpoint presentation - Their job is extremely hard and perhaps the most meaningful one at 3M today - at least they’re helping people and the company do something good.

Yes, there is a transition management office that oversees PFAS exit and reformulation, reports to John Banovetz

He won’t like hearing half of Legal is flying about the world to HQ whilst the rest of us endure budget cuts.

PWS settled, billions in 3M PFAS settlement. No other US cases have merrit and non-US doesn't bring lawsuits like US. No 3M PFAS assignments needed. All clear.

Coming from someone who works in the plants the amount of f'd up stuff that's outsourced is unreal. Short products because they can't count, defective parts, wait time, rework of quality. Some of the CS returns and complaints are embarrassing. It's bad. We spend more time fixing cr-p than the cost to do it right the first time here. Mo--ns run this company. Get rid of them.

Hopefully the more potty is snubbed, the quicker his exit. And take that audit witch and chimney and all the Indians with you please! They have destroyed our company. The morale in audit and finance is well below the average level. Zoe too scared to share that.

Probably nothing.

There's a lot of grumbling here about how bad legal and finance are, and really any non-production group, which I can only assume is coming from someone who is it was working in the plants.

But those of us working white collar jobs don't share your views. And as much as people here want to insist, a person making the decision to cut domestic production jobs doesn't mean they're bad or evil. There's a reason production gets outsourced and offshored, and why knowledge work stays in-house.
