In the VBO package what is the continuation of health care coverage?
It’s not just mean and nasty comments that are deleted. There are a lot of posts that are deleted
@j2+1jpr1r6f0 I took the VBO in 21 and stuck with the cobra ins. It is only me on it (health, eye and dental) and I'm using the long term health care account to pay for it until that runs out.
OP After the 2 years of EE rate you can get on cobra until you turn 65.
Once you drop it, you cannot come back.
On e you drop, you can come back. If you drop a dependent, you can add them back. I have kept vision and that's it, since I have been working and it's cheaper than keeping fidelity retirement insurance.
@cz+1jpr1r6f0 and the others who are off topic saying their posts are being deleted ... were you being mean and nasty? I see alot of mean nasty comments on this site, verbally as--ulting others for their political views, their age, their ethnic group. So if your comments were deleted, why do you think they were deleted? 🤔
The employee rate sure was nice for those 2 years after taking VBO, but man, the sticker shock when it went to COBRA like rates 😳. And of course there are annual increases in line with the plan. Everyone I know who took either of the VBOs ended up getting off the Fido plan after the 2 years (except me). Medicare can't come soon enough! But I stay with it because it's a good plan compared to other people that I know. Doctor's staff often tell me how good the plan is when I go for appointments. Any other VBOers out there that have stuck with it??? Or am I the only one???
this site is complete garbage. not sure why i keep coming back here
I definitely have had posted deleted before, so someone at times is careful
wow. posts are being deleted
@an+1jpr1r6f0
Thank you, I am not sure on another VBO happening and was doing some "what if" analysis.
Good luck and I hope it happens
It ain’t happening!
My understanding from the last VBO they did in 2021, you can stay on the Fidelity plan, at the employee rate, for two years. After that, you pay the cobra rates until Medicare kicks in.
Does it look good for a VBO this year?
