It's how you reset salaries. Cut the expensive people then hire external at lower salary. In this market, people are desperate and will take it.

OP, I am confident that the remaining headcount needed to hit 75K will come from the existing employees. There will always be external hires to replace the overpaid and stale "talent" that they are letting go. The 2026 end of year target will be far below 75k and they will hit that one too.
