Q3 Mandatory PTO in APJC

Has anyone been forced to take PTO before the end of Q3 (April 23rd)? I was asked to submit PTO at least 5 days, on a very short notice.. I felt this was so wrong!!

This might happen again in Q4. Can anyone confirm if that’s actually the plan?

@cs unlimited pro or VTO is a scam for the company / CEO / VP benefits! Last year i took only 2 weeks off and early this year I mentioned that I need to take a week off , the manager fought and told me that is not “approved” BS! VTO is not for the employee s benefit as we cannot cash or save it and 100% depending on the manager’s lording feelings!

I rather keep accrued PTO and the freedom when I take it legally.

In the U.S. only hourly employees accrue PTO hours; salaried employees have unlimited PTO.

I think in US they implemented unlimited time off which voids the obligation to pay your days off balance.

You are correct. In 2024 US had July mandatory shutdown and August layoffs.

That is their attempt to lower the cost of laying off people. They have to pay you the equivalent of your workday time off balance when they let you go. A while ago they forced a mandatory shutdown on us in the middle of the summer. If my memory serves me well that was followed by layoffs
