Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Another one bites the dust...

...As the regretted Freddy Mercury said (for our US colleagues, he was the lead singer of a famous European rock band... :) )
After Italy (sale of EM 75% share in Trecate refinery and the associated fuels business), the Sriracha refinery and the fuels business in Thailand got the axe. Who's going to be next? Place your bets.

OP, Annandale in New Jersey is next. It's in the 2024 plan already. There is absolutely nothing left there. They produce nothing. They get fat paychecks to make PowerPoints. But they don't make a dollar for the corporation.

Who is willing to pay up for Joliet? It is on the chopping block for sure, no Chem plant. Maybe Marathon?

They'll all be nationalized. All sites - worldwide.
That's the easy way to unload all our troubles on the taxpayers out there.

Interesting many think of Canada to be next... I always thought the margin for Canadian fuels market is very strong, higher than US even.

Rotterdam and Baton Rouge.
Despite the co-locations that would make for smooth runnings (Chevron style) these are dinosaurs along major rivers.
At least in BR, the employees could be converted for Site Remediation, if you know what I mean. Down to the bedrock.

Joliet, Corpus, all of Canada, and Rodderdam. Happening this year, no need for NSI at the remaining plants.
