The real grifters are the board, looking to set up leveraged buyouts and make bank. No board with any kind of integrity would let a CEO continue this long with such obviously sh-t performance. Corruption and rent-seeking, pure and simple.
@hd Geoff took SS out and put in a s--k up that won't challenge him. He surrounds himself with clueless people hoping that will somehow make him look competent.
The article says that Sean Salmon lost his position? What exactly does that mean?
@cm The board feels sorry for him due to miserable performance? Stock down 20% since Martha became CEO. He managed to make the options worthless, started losing execs. Parkhill, a numbers person, saw this was hopeless. And went to company worth 1/4 of MDT.
@OP Disgusting.

Well, he's just trying to get by. And doing quite well at it.
Look at the inflation stats for the past few years.
https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/inflation/current-inflation-rates/
Year 2024 2.9%
Year 2023 4.1%
Year 2022 8.0%
Year 2021 4.7%
Year 2020 1.2%
Year 2019 1.8%
Year 2018 2.4%
While many (most ?) employees have not had a real raise in years.
It would be one thing if it were tied to company performance (or stock performance or ?). But those metrics say otherwise.
It seems the MDT payscale has also shifted to the offshore ledger. At least for the remaining domestic rank and file employees.
Shameful.
So who’s going to organize the strike?
Wow this is criminal.
And I got 2% raise and rejection emails that we don’t have money to travel to our suppliers
Glad we all contributed to Geoff’s next beachfront house
Just one more example of the good ol' boys network is strong at MDT!
He’s paid more than Kevin Lobo ((Stryker) and Mike Mahoney (Boston Sci). Make that make sense!
Looks like the gap between CEO and employee pay will only get wider.
"That was a wider gap than Medtronic’s 296:1 CEO pay ratio the year before, 230:1 pay ratio in fiscal 2023 and 215:1 in fiscal 2022."
Something needs to be done about it.
What was everyone else…? 2%? 3%? Lol
