PepsiCo does not pay health benefits for retirees. They lied about this for years on social media and took it off when they got called out. This insensitive company unfairly terminated many long term employees without a moments notice. There was no selection process. The older you were, the more at risk you were. The reward for 25+ years of dedicated service was a 15 minute severance agreement review and a degrading walk of shame escort to the car. No handshakes, no thank yous, and no saying goodbye to friends of many years. The treatment was deplorable and disgusting. It's in the hands of the Human Rights Commission now. Let's see how many top employer awards are won when the human rights abuses are made public. Anybody want on the Class Action train ???????

The American Patriot - loves America but hates Americans. To all you investors calling for corporate layoffs to protect your "investments," just remember - what goes around comes around, and often with added interest. Today, you view your fellow man as impediments to your easy profits, and tomorrow, that despicable, soulless approach to humanity will turn around and stomp you out like the vermin you are. You all make me sick to my stomach.

Canada is lame and will never be competitive with the big boy countries due to government suffocation of business with regulations up there.

This site is a joke. The stable of inbred horses that roam this lay-off site mostly come from IT.

Big changes are coming. The losers from IT are mostly gone and the impact to that specific group will be minimal.

Buckle up the rest of you. Neigh Neigh Neighhhhhhh

My prediction is a significant number of White Plains employees get the boot. The talent across GTM is quite strong. The sector has turned into people cheerleading ideas that can’t be executed with no means to support from the bottom up.

100MM in savings is coming and white plains gets shredded, again.

Some US people do receive medical subsidies based on age and years of severence per status as of 12/31/2010
Call benefits number to find out your individual subsidy before you are eligible for Medicare
Based on age a small group also gets after Medicare

I was laid off from my job after 40 yrs and was devastated. It hit me very hard. I was not prepared for it and I felt discarded. That was a few months ago. I now consider it a blessing. I'm free from all the added responsibility that was dumped on me even though plans were in the works to let me go. My boss found out 1hr before I did. I am doing great news w. It was a blessing in disguise. There will be more layoffs as slowly but surely jobs are centralized.

While I do not agree with it and Yes I wish they offered me a buyout PepsiCo will not give them. They have contracts with companies like TCS to take over jobs held by PepsiCo employees so they will just terminate them as we all are/were hired at will. So when your number is called expect the usual severance package.

PepsiCo pays Health & Dental Premiums for retirees in Canada, why not do this in the USA as well?

Check out this site;

https://reviews.canadastop100.com/top-employer-pepsico-canada

“Along with helping employees save for the future, PepsiCo Canada offers retirement planning assistance and extends its health benefits plan to retirees (with no age limit and covering 100% of the premiums)”.

My prediction is that they will eventually come to offer voluntary buyouts to employees with over 30 years of service. Why keep higher paid employees when you can replace them with campus recruits at a cheaper cost.

This question Is a great reflection of the value of the PepsiCo Organizational Health Survey. The survey is so ineffective that PepsiCo HR seems to be trolling these sites for feedback. Desperation and preparation, your call.
