@ist - It is possible to volunteer for an RA. That is how I left in 2018. Told my manager I wanted to retire. He asked me if I was willing to wait, that there was a RA coming in the next couple of months. Worked out for everybody, I was able to get a few more months of pay, along with a month of severance that I didn't expect, and I saved a member on my team from losing their job. I was working in technical sales at the time.

You’re so right. And those are the individuals who come out smelling good snd will get away with everything and those sr Mgrs will never see the truth.

@ist+ - No, I tried. Although I suspect I'm now on the injured reserved list who's name will come up next time there is an RA in my market sector
@NYJ0i - Yes - be conscientious, work extra hours including weekends, be proactive and client- focused and study in your spare time. You'll inevitably be RA'd in favour of some sph1ncter-sniffing brown-nose who spends all their time self-aggrandizing in front of senior execs. It's the IBM way.
Don't know but is there a way to volunteer for an RA?
