Culture Shift

Watching leaders get promoted while experienced teams are laid off is hard enough.

Being spoken to with profanity by senior leadership during this time is unacceptable. The tone suggested a level of comfort—and untouchability—that should concern anyone who cares about culture.

If this is the new culture, it’s a serious step backward.

Let me guess….RVP in the Midwest … thinks he’s untouchable because he’s BFF’s with a certain SVP? I feel bad for anyone that has to deal with him!

@cf I remember the first town hall with the new sycamore leadership August/september 2025. A lot of profanity during the hour long punishment.

Sycamore is not there to make things better, they are there to exploit the existing disfunction for their own gain, everyone else will just be collateral damage. You thought you had it bad, it's going to be worse.

Were you part of previous regime’s management? Was that regime so much better?

@OP curious about your experience. Are you able to elaborate?

The culture can be summed up as fear, distrust and ambiguity. Even more so since the new regime took control.

@OP Walgreens culture has been garbage for as long as I can remember. Fear and intimidation to motivate is par for the course. Always a threat: "up to and including termination" gets mentioned in far too many company policies. And lets not forget the ever popular PIP. You have to be able give up some dignity to make it at Walgreens.
