43,000 employees?
How many "contractors"?
You forgot the bank. MetLife sold MetLife Bank when the SIFI thing happened.
Some employees went to Mass Mutual, State Farm and Brighthouse.
Can't remember if Met sold anything else.
In 2015 MetLife had 69,000 employees
In 2024 that number is now 43,000
Total Decline of 26,000
So MetLife has experienced MASSIVE Layoffs since 2015, and it continues.
@cde+1tQWh5k8 spot on. I'm regularly surprised at some of the stupid sh-t I hear come out of the mouths of SVPa at this company. And they wonder why nothing gets accomplished.
MetLife also has some of the most ignorant and inept people managers and executive leadership. Those who've worked elsewhere see the stark contrast.
