- another MQ where Cisco is a loser.

if there is a ai magic quadrant then cisco is not even on any of the four divisions. enjoy
Based on the trends I see, there has been an uptick in APJC partners utilizing Endpoint. Unsure what the cause is but any insight would be appreciated.
I wouldn’t go near Splunk
right
as you say, it will rot at Cisco, but even worse, customers will be pushed into limbo when Cisco re-sells it again at a loss in three years, it feels like the buyer's remorse has already set in, I hardly ever hear anything about it anymore
@fw yep, never understood why Cisco builds sales campaigns around Magic Quadrant reporting. Let’s focus a bit more on developing actual sales motions and not pay for play third party ratings and reporting. Cisco needs to cut 1/2 of sales “management”
@cd duo
I wouldn’t go near Splunk. It’s not because of anything they’ve done wrong, but because they’ve been pulled into the black hole that is Cisco. At this point, Datadog is the clear winner.
MQ legitimacy died in 2016. No value.

Good at buying companies that are leaders. For now Splunk is a leader in SIEM and observability but all of Splunk's leadership is gone and now there's a hiring freeze so goodbye to that soon as well.
Have you said 'Thank you' to Splunk for being named a Leader in both Security and Observability in the Gartner Magic Quadrants?"
Last I heard about hypeshield was that a few customers were demoing it. I’m assuming that since leadership stopped talking about it, nobody purchased the product.
What happened to hypershield?
Once again, Cisco is exactly where it deserves to be.
The customers don't care, they are all D-list orgs who gravitate towards Cisco's D-list solutions because Cisco is willing to underprice and security is perceived as just a check-list requirement anyway.
The employees don't care because they predominantly lifers running out the shot clock on their careers.
ELT should care that this business is nothing but a welfare momma, but keeps getting distracted by AI etc so endpoint will continue to be like that old person on life support in the ICU who never has visitors but somehow the health insurance pays to keep them in a vegetative state.
Cisco follows these days, there’s no tech leadership anymore. It ain’t 1999 when Cisco truly led. These days others make the running - cloud, AI, SD-WAN, SASE, security - and Cisco follows with a crazy complex and expensive “me too” retread of existing junk or creates junk solutions to sales exaggerated customer “problems” that don’t really exist.
cisco endpoint security was always a useless product. its amazing its survived this long. no one buys it and no one sells it. its a deadweight in cisco’s ecosystem. feel sorry for people supporting it. they are stuck in deadend jobs. they have to retire it.
having said that pan is in advanced talk to acquire sentinelone and their stock surged today. time will tell if its real or a rumor. if cisco had any clue they woukd acquire s1. but like every acquisition they would destroy the product and customers would leave fast. so yeah cisco leadership is full of sh-t.
@cd the chief one is the one Cooper sells.
What products in SBG are keeping the BU alive?
He ran out of money paying 4 and 5th tier analysts like Scott Ray whatever his last name is and Zeus!
For fks sake are we good at anything?
@ah clearly Cisco SBG is bullsh-t
Cisco is a wh--e that no one pays attention to anymore
Clearly G2 hasn't paid the right people at Gartner
