I hate when managers are nowhere to be seen the whole day and then they show up for five minutes just to complain about this or that (the store is a mess, nobody is helping customers...) just to disappear again for the rest of the day. Can you imagine a bigger waste of money for the company than paying for these people?

Insanity is doing the same failing thing again and again and expect different result! This is a reason for Bed Bath and Beyond fails to achieve any success in retail industry.

@3uxu Now if all store managers at “Bed Bath and Beyond Fixing” are so smart, so great in having business skills and so overpaid then why we are in this deep sh-t and low employees moral all the time and continue to hear cutback and layoff here and there all the time? Wise up!
Look at all the complainers that will never have the skills to do the job of a store manager. No wonder they come here to complain. No future for them. Bahahahah.
Store managers are worth every penny Bed Bath Beyond pays them. Yes we agree with that. Pay them Pennies only but not a dime more since they don’t do anything at the store all day. That is a huge cost saving for payroll.
If I had a dollar for every time store managers said something or doing something smart, I would be broke at Bed Bath & Beyond!

They are extremely wasteful in several ways. In my store I don't believe that we need the two department supervisors that we have. We operated for over a year with no hardside DS and several months without a softside one. Hard and softside leads would suffice.
I am sure store managers have so much work at Bed Bath like talk all day on the phone and take a long nap in the office or surfing on internet all day? Did we miss anything at all?
Maybe if you would follow instruction the manager wouldn’t be upset with your results. Do you really require the manage to work by your side to complete your work? Are you the only employee in the store that they need to provide direction to? They have other responsibilities, but just like many young know it alls, you think it’s just about you.
@ccz The point is Bed Bath and Beyond company is wasting money hiring store managers doing nothing all day with the overprice salary and perform incompetent productivity at work! Stupid is as stupid does?
I can back this post up. My old manager was off his phone and on the floor maybe 45 minutes a day. The rest was sitting in his office on his cell phone
