Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Likely that JF will outsource the last of our good-paying salaried jobs to this LCC (or LCP).

U mean the blue Oval Office?
@h0+1js0zxz7q you forgot to announce that we decided to ship all our cracked talent to China for fear they may intimidate others here. We are hoping this sabotages them and they run back weaker and less intense to deal with.

Russia will be doing engineering work to supplement R&AE capabilities. Last week, DOE reps met with Senior R&AE leadership to iron out details. DJT to announce it at the Oval Office. Also, there are plans for R&AE work to be done in Turkey, Ford already has a research facility there. The plan it to reduce R&AE footprint in the USA.

@dy+1js0zxz7q of all the ripping on Ford, the Fusion in both iterations is a solid ride. Wow. That represents Peak Dearborn right there.

Farley’s either gotta outsource or automate, and Ford doesn’t have the capital to automate more than it already has.

Sc--wturners in the US cost too much.

They got rid of my fusion and I was sad.

Then I switched to an escape I wasn't as satisfied but I accepted it.

Now they're getting rid of the escape in favor of EV models or more expensive crossovers.

I bet the crosstown competitors or the "foreign" competitors have something that I can drive and will be happy to take my money

Fantastic and it's about time!!!

It's obviously our fault Jim's plans don't work out.

It's obvious, it's not like he's a blithering id--t or anything.

Really, in the Trump era does anyone of sound mind really think that will happen?
A big NO on this one!
Not a Trump fan but the toxic, unstable business environment he has created in the US has scared the he-l out of any CEO even remoting thinking about such a move.
Trump repercussions would be swift and punishing via his executive orders.
By the time it gets to the courts if challenged, the damage would have been done.

I think Farley is the well paid fall guy. When the company files bankruptcy the BOD will blame him.

Let JF continue to outsource to LLCs. I’ll continue to not buy Ford products and tell everyone I know not to as well.

My counterparts in those regions are useless. We a guy that did nothing in Mexico and was taking NA work as his own. When they let go the NA engineer the Mexico one moved to a new role. Easier to hide I guess. The kicker was some of his data was screenshots and not actual files. What a joke. The folks that deal with it don’t not say a word because they know it won’t change anything OR worse hateful. Sometimes the truth hurts.

Wish him luck getting a single-celled organism to come into the office 3 days per week.
