Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

HR is the main issue

I’m doing my due diligence and casting a wide net in sharing my experience, in hopes that future applicants steer clear of this company. Layoffs are a constant concern—especially for those in management who are more exposed to the company’s performance metrics, or more accurately, its ongoing failures. Job security is nonexistent, and to make matters worse, workplace bullying is still very much alive here.

HR, unfortunately, offers no meaningful support. A quick look into the professional backgrounds of some staff members reveals a disturbing lack of formal training—many hold no relevant qualifications in Human Resources. If there’s any chance for this company to survive, it would require a complete overhaul of the HR department, replacing individuals with personal ties to current leadership with a qualified, neutral team that can drive real accountability.

HR like the Karie’s in Hawaii is not trustworthy.
She all about her self. She one of those that expects the manager to kiss her butt and be kind to her if you’re not you’re be on the chopping block. Can’t trust her she needs to go.

The HR targets high performers, yet fails to focus on low performers and managers who vape in our vehicles and company property.

Point is-HR only follows policy when it’s less work, self opinionated, aka bias.

@by HR doesn’t protect the company or the employee. The HR is a walking liability.

The company employs under qualified people to pay them less.

This HR is by far the worst HR team I have witnessed in 50 years.

100% agreed! We have senior HR management with degrees in Exercise management alongside some of the HR with a background in payroll but zero people skills.

Talk about inept and ill equipped!

Fix your problem Hertz!

@by Wait until you realize HR doesn't care about the company either. If they did they would be getting rid of bad actors/poor performers and keeping the top talent happy. The HR at Hertz has been driving away talent for years and keeping people they should have let go. The HR at Hertz are just collecting checks and have quiet quit years ago.

One thing I think is often confused about HR in a company. Most employees have this mistaken belief that HR is there for the employee. Stop being fooled, it is NOT. HR is there to only protect the company. HR is not your friend and will serve you up in a heartbeat to protect the company.
