Good point. O&G is a very predictable industry that doesnt cycle. The way it is today is how it will be forever.

As Chevron and other major oil stocks plummet, you’ll continue to see contractions in these companies. But with contraction, there will be more layoffs. It’s only to be expected that smaller companies require fewer employees on the payroll. The stock price of any particular company will not necessarily plummet at the same rate as oil prices. So as revenue and profits go down, don’t go thinking the company or shareholder will suffer as much as the ordinary employee. The company will survive and the shareholders will also. It’s the average employee who will pay the price.
Good job on EOI, hope you can save even more since you won't have to pay any taxes and make money on unemployment benefits. It's a win - win for you. So jealous.
