Is there supposed to be another "big" announcement in September?

Farmers Insurance just announced they are laying off 11% of their workforce because of the challenging industry issues.

My respect for sr leadership when they took no action on staples crew even when they were told and saw what posers they were. Pretty much destroyed any solid foundation in systems. House is on quicksand now.

I know it will probably get downvoted since its positive but the big secret is reasonable inflationary raises for next year. Think like $10k bump in pay. Its significant. All the details with some roles not worked out ect.

LOL-@8mmr Is telling bold face lies again. All the previous SF properties were sold all together in one bundle-largely because no investor wanted places like Newark or Kalamazoo. Tipsord has no daughters. This is an example,of,the quality info on this site.

For those of you that don’t know, current and former Execs have been pooling their money for years and buying up properties SF has been letting go of and investing in real estate.

Makes you wonder how much the Execs are getting paid. Tippy & his cronies are fleecing the company - but don’t worry, his son & daughter have Exec positions. His son is 35-36 and is #2 in finance. Nepotism runs wild. When Tippy retires expect one of his kids to carry on the Tippy name.

I hope it’s that we are planning to lease new offices in former LOC areas where they still have a large remote presence with no hybrid option.

Footprint, for sure.

They just worked out the new WFH policy for ET and it's Hybrid first and expanding the distance range to be considered hybrid, and with the delay in information about it, if RTO was being enforced that would have played into it. And the closure of more of South has been an open secret --the question is more who is taking it over (HCL wants a Bloomington footprint, and there's likely other companies in the area who would like something already call-center ready, like Rivian)

State Farm has been slashing their real estate footprint. They sold and leased back the hub buildings. Downtown building is gone and they would love to unload OAB onto District 87. If there are any takers for Corp South they would sell that in a minute to relieve themselves of maintenance and taxes. This bodes well for those who enjoy working remotely.

Crazy, theres tons of postings for remote postions. It wouldnt shock me that SF executives will cut every cost possible, at great cost to the employee, but be willing to spend big on office hubs no one wants to go to. I hope that isnt the case, as, many will just take offers at competitors doing remote only. I mean we have staffing issues across the board for every productive role in company.

Return to office. Remote gone in 2 years. Look at where they are hiring this year. If you aren’t at a Hub you are toast.
