Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Is Joliet for sale?

Heard from a good source that there was a package deal for France and Joliet and that Joliet will be sold by the end of the year. Some of the Canadian refineries were mentioned in the sale also.

They are not putting 10 billion in pollution control for a sale.

When you see a Finance Executive move to senior management in Joliet you will know that the refinery sale is imminent.

Joliet has been for sale for two decades. No one wants to pay us our minimum asking price for a gasoline + diesel refinery.

It has no renewables, no petrochemicals and is locked into processing Candian crude via pipeline.

With the growth of EV's (especially solid-state batteries) between now and 2050, Joliet may be nothing more than a terminal in several decades.

Joliet has been for sale for ages. There was talk it would go in a package with Billings.

All assets are for sale all the time, all that changes is the price we are willing to accept
